Vag Tacho Best option

I am looking to get vag tacho as I need to sort out some issues via Vag Com but need an SKC.
I also need to recode some keys and have had the issue of an Immo 1 leaving me stranded so would like to make up a clone emergency box.

ECUtool (who I have used successfully but about 5 years ago) have plenty of options which include transponder read / writers but is there a particular package from them that is worth getting?

or what is the cheapest Vag tacho basic set up?

Is any body using Vag Tacho and willing to answer some Q's by PM?

I'm wondering the same thing. Which version of vagtacho works with the S2/S6?

So, I bought a VAG-Tacho cable (v3.01) from eBay for a tenner.. just connected it up to the 1995 A6 C4 2.6 and it worked a treat! Was able to receive the immo box PIN (SKC) in about 20 seconds.

Great I thought, now onto the S6. Connected it up and..... nothing. It wouldn't connect to the ECU using any of the options in the menu.

Does anyone have experience of using VAG-Tacho with the S6 or S2/RS2? Could really use some help to be able to retrieve my SKC...

This is frustrating!

Two Immo boxes, both with the same part number 4A0 953 234



VAG-Tacho will read the bottom one (from the A6), but not the top one (from the S6)!





Does anyone have any idea why?
