        No!
By disconnecting the MFTS you are eliminating it. Therefore if there was a wiring issue you would still get the same problem. It is pointing to the MFTS even though its new. They don't like being over tightened.
If you have the original MFTS you could try subsituting it back in to prove it subject to the above problem.
Of course the other issue is not knowing exactly what boost levels you are getting. I would recommend a decent quality boost gauge as if nothing else it aids diagnosing problems and is fun to watch!

Best see what code if any comes up now.
With the MFTS disconnected you should have boost control activated.
If the MFTS was connected but with a faulty overheat signal you could only be getting mechanical boost.
Out of interest what WGFV are you running?

My plan is to fault code read again and then do a series of tests with the MFTS and output tests its just finding the time with both me and Jim working shifts. The plug is not brttle and there is only a little bit of green on the plugs. I have to replace my brother ACE engine coupe ine a couple of years back and that had disintergrated.

Result. Whilst messing with the wiring to the mfts the n75 was having a wobbly after some head scratching we found that wiggling the wires to the oil pressure gauge sender caused the n75 to come to life.
A clean of the connections and I understand she was into 3 figures and climbing quite happily.
It's obvious it was down to cotorsion but I can't see how it affects the n75 but who cares its working.

Might be worth double checking those cylindrical wiring connectors for corrosion as I think that part of the loom goes through one or other. Of course there should be no physical connection between the wires unless thay are damaged within the loom somehow.

The part of the loom with the mfts/oil sensor wiring and some other stuff like connections to the gearbox go up to two round connectors at the bulkhead. In effect its a seperate part of the loom. That why wriggling the oil sensor wiring could effect the MFTS but only if there is some other issue within the loom such as frayed wiring or a loose connection.
On the otherhand, as its working, just make a note of it as potentially suspect!

Our plan is to remove it and check but I am still convinced it is only the corrPsion on the terminals. At least it's heading in the right directiOn. Cheers for all the help guys
