looking for 300hp (but safe for engine)

My car (S4 AAN with 230hp) is on the workshop, making some compression tests, leaks, etc, etc, everything to know if the engine is OK for an upgrade!

I want to upgrade for 300hp~350hp, but smooth and safe for the engine parts, like it always had that power... and have a good base to grow!

Which parts do you advice to replace stock? Or put some kit like MTM or Dahlback?

    Please, help!

      Thanks Greg,

Here, MOT is a pita, Can i use just a catback system of Supersprint for example? or i have to get a 3" pipe and downpipe, etc to achieve that kind of power?

What company you advice to make the custom chip for the new hardware ( i already try do contact Mihnea, but nothing, maybe he have lot of work)?

The RS2 EM and injectores are required?

      Many thanks,

the standard RS2 is 315 hp. take a look at the miltek exhausts im sure they will have something that is suitable. even if it is just a cat back system. for the power you are looking for the exhaust wont be so much of a problem but will improve performance with a larger bore.

Personally i recommend Mihnea since that is who i use, however i know teckno300 (graham) has a friend at chip wizards who does his for him.

RS2 EM will be needed above 300hp to save the exhaust valves on cylinders 1 & 5, ABY injectors are ok to a point but its worth upgrading them, if you plan to go for more power later it may be worth future proofing and getting higher cpacity injectors from the start.#

The old 300bhp argument again... The K24 can get *very* close to that when the engine is equipped/modified as follows -

          1. 7A or ADU (RS2) exhaust cam
          2. RS2 intercooler
          3. Sports exhaust and sports CAT
          4. Custom ECU programming
          5. Improved gas flow by modification of the cylinder head will help also

Stock injectors, fuel pump and EM will take over 300bhp no problem... BUT yes the RS2 EM and injectors give room for growth to ~380bhp if the RS2 turbo is fitted.

Another way to get over 300bhp is to run stock RS2 software along with RS2 turbo, green injectors, camshafts, intercooler and FPR. Trouble with that setup is more lag than the smaller K24. But the upside with this is the ability to get custom ECU software for ~370bhp on the RS2 configuration.

That is one of the most concise and useful tuning posts for ages.

            Can we archive that somewhere?

            Thanks Paul.

            Cheers,

            Steve.

The standard S4 IC is a POS so it definately needs to be upgraded. It is worthing looking into what some of the USA guys are running for ICs.

Dahlback staged kits are provided by MTM. Mr D just sells them more expensive.

finally my car got 1,0bar of boost...

New Oil, Valvoline 10w60, new sparks (champion, same as bosh in the specs (scooby ones)...

But, they see that i have 4 fuel injectors green and one black this is normal? or the person that sell me this car runned with diferrent injectors?

Now, i am stuck in that two options, k24 or k26 to the way for 300hp, but first have tho see this injectors problem, put forge IC, catback, H&R springs (already have here), Samco (already ordered), boost gauge and EGT, etc (as you saw, this is some good money that i have to spent, money that i dont have , be a 23 years old boy have this problems...

Yes, Lee, this IC is too small I think will go for a Forge one, not to big, not to small, enougth for some day raise to +350hp!

Many thanks for all your support, and again, sorry my english,

                        Bruno,

What finally fixed the boost problem? Did the garage tell you or did it just come back better?

Glad to hear you can give it WOT now.

Graeme, the problem was my sparks killed, and a 3" leak in the pipe that goes for DV... And, the f&$%ing thing, is that, on Audi, on Audi worshop, on friends od Audi workshop, didn't have BRAINS to Know and detect that i had LEAKS on the pipes.... BAD SERVICE

Finally, went on a friend of mine, that have competiton and tuning workshop, (PUB: www.autopamplona.com) and, in this 3 days, see compression, leaks, etc and putted me run on the Hyway running with 1.0bar, and do +200km/h very fast, now have to take carefull with tickets...

Now i believe (more) on AUDI

                          Thank you [[[]]

Great news Bruno. Now you can some fun with it before the tuning starts.
My car only has a K&N panel filter and Mihnea chipset, but the difference is amazing. You think it's fast now, wait until it's tuned.
