which studs with Wagner exhaust manifold

    Hello every one.

i'm experiencing an issue mounting my Wagner exhaust manifold.

the Studs M8x27mm (rs2 short version) are to big to be able to install the manifold.

When you try to fit the manifold, it touch the end of the studs before he is good fited.

can some one please tell me the good studs size?

    Thank you in advance

I am using RS2 studs on my exhaust manifold and had no such issue, are you sure they are genuine RS2 studs?

          Hello.

Yes i'm sure. i order the complete exhaust kit from 034 motorsport and the studs of this kit are the rs2 short studs (m8x27). The wagner evo exhaust manifold are to big and the studs tuch the manifold.

Ok so if i understand well, every one cut the studs

Thank you all for the fast reply.

034 studs are replicas and are not OEM, you'll need to shorten them. I had no issues using oem rs2 for the rs2 evo or 034 on the sq replicas however.

Recently i have fitted RS2 Wagner 'EM. I need to grind off(shorten) upper studs.IIRC 4 studs will be shorten otherwises you'll expriencing hard time to put the 'EM on.
It ain't big deal. you just put the 'EM on and mark which sutds is your problem.pull the 'EM off and grind them one by one.you couldn't be using the genuine RS2 'EM
as your guideline.the short studs being mounted on different postion.

I couldn't find the best photo but if you tried to look it closer the upper row studs excluded the outer left and right needed to be shorten.i guess 4-5studs.HTH.

Studs finger tight, 25 on the nuts, thats how I've always done it.

I just cut the standard manifold studs and that's it. Threw some copper nuts on them and all good.

25nm for nuts sounds good but I would be slightly concerned to do them just finger tight I would expect they should be somewhere between 20-25 as well ,anyway, thanks for info chaps
