Trip Computer Issue

Hello guys, this is my first post and looking for a little help...

I changed the battery on my '94 S2 coupe today (disconnecting negative first and reconnecting negative last). All electrics in the car are working, including the backlight for the trip computer, however all the values are static. I.e. the MPG reads 23.5 constantly and everything else reads zero. There was no sparks or explosions and I didn't knock and wiring under the rear seats as far as I'm aware...

Any help would be really appreciated and if I've left out anything important please ask!

I had this issue randomly with mine when I changed my clocks and had them all apart it seemed to correct itself, it maybe coincidence that this has happenend since you've had the battery off. Maybe take the speedo cluster out give it a clean up with Kontact cleaner see if that helps

Thanks for the quick reply. Lets hope that it does correct itself. Is it a hard job getting the cluster out?

Easy take the steering wheel cowl off then only 2 screws holding it in loads of block connectors though bit fiddly lots of threads on here put a search in plenty if pics too
