7A pistons in AAN

Hi guys,

So gypsies stole my piston set for the AAN and i was thinking if stock 7A pistons could be used with boring the engine to 82.5. Are the made from the same material? Should I drill the hole in the 7A piston to lower the compression or use thicker gasket? Can they hold RS2 specked setup?

No they are not forged like the AAN pistons, you will need to machine them to drop the CR. I recon they will hold RS2 power though

Quite easy to find a used AAN/ABY/3B piston set.

I'd be looking for a set of original forged piston's, by the time you muck about getting the 7A ones to work you'll have spent more than if you'd purchased a decent second hand set of turbo ones.

I think Tonks may have a couple of sets knocking about, could be worth dropping him a PM.

10x guys, i was thinking making the AAN 2,3 and that was the reason looking into the 7A pistons as buying and regrinding will be cheaper than buying new forged ones.
