    2.0L 16v not firing HELP!

Right my 2.0 L 16v and was driving home and it died!

Seems to be getting fuel to the engine and a spark but it won't fire!

    Turns over fine!

    Any help anyone?

    Cambelt?

If you have fuel (and are sure injectors firing) and spark then it should run, badly if sensors are failed... but it should run.

Does it sound different when cranking now?

      is it kjet

      check spark and fuel pressure.

kjet is very susceptible to fuel issues.

when 16v mine developed an issue I never solved. would run great for 5 minutes in the end then die and not start for a while. I changed dizzy, metering head and fpr sensors on metering head, fuel pump etc etc. I think after all this mine was in the wiring somewhere.

      best luck solving it.

Is the fuel pump priming? Check for a leak in the rubber hoes from meter head to carb. You could also try removing rubber hose lift meter head flap 2-3mm with pliers and turn car on start to see if it catches.

if the hose is split I have one here.

I have an fpr also for side of airbox and a spare metering head.

pm me if you need bits.

kjets great til a problem. then It can be a nightmare.

cost of spares and availablility. the mechanical aspect and wear/tolerance and manual problem solving.

check everything fuel, let me know if you need spares, I may have them.

The ACE is a pita and fault-finding can be hit and miss. Try and get some codes asap or you'll be forever guessing. Can't wait to do an engine swap on mine!

Hope you get it sorted pal.
