The only thing i saw was little "wear" on the piston skirt on the pistons. Do you guys have pictures on you pistons when they had run for some time?
These are the engine mounts i have:
I have photo's from my pistons and the skirt-wear on them. There was also a little wear on the cylinder walls (on the photo the cylinder wear looks much worse than it actually is!)

I have the dash pulled now as I am going through the electrics in the car and I've also removed the insulation as it was torn in alot of places anyway and I won't mind the noise. I'll just have to wait and see how I feel about the noise later on.

I made the clip while having problems with a bad tappet, http://youtu.be/wTRIAPPRIy4?list=UUc...dnCXra2Wp8-aag
I don't have a problem with the noise as long as i know my engine is not about to explode soon

Yes I have JE pistons and they have a little wear on the skirts but nothing I reacted to really. Ive driven maybe 3000km with this now.
Pleas keep us updated if you experience any problem later on!

What piston to bore clearance are your guys running. Sounds like ot could be slap. Have you tried listing with a stethoscope on the block. Try down low near the crank and higher up near the head to tell if its bearings or slap.

To be honest, I dont know my piston clearance but the block should be bored to fit the pistons. Havent tried to listen with a stethoscope either.

Some of these forged piston manufacturers seem to specify a lot of clearance , I suppose they don't want something to seize up. I'm sure you could get away with something tighter...

If it was piston slap it would by a lot louder on cold engine than when hot right? My engine sounds good on cold start.

In theory yea it should be louder cold, but maybe the thick oil helps. I don't know

Any news on this? Last month i did around 20 dyno passes and made 709hp 777nm and 8 1/4mile passes. Also around 350km street driving. Slapping/knocking sound did not really changed.

                    Good

My engine has over 1000km hard driving on it now. The sound is still there. Seems like its nothing to worrie about. The sound is the same hot/cold engine.
