So, just been out for an extended test drive to define my issue.
Basically, the car drives really well apart from 2 things.
Firstly, it does hunt a little at idle but then it never was that smooth. Cold start is most noticeable, once the revs drop after the initial ~1000 phase but it never tries to or even gets close to trying to stall or anything like that. I do have slightly low compression on 1 cylinder, so that won't be helping. Might just be being a little sensitive about this TBH...
The second one is as described before: when accelerating with light throttle application, it does feel slightly hesitant and then that clears with a little more throttle. It's weird, as it doesn't do it all the time and is the opposite to what I would expect from a poor spark - i.e. it happens at really light loads. WOT running is back to where it was
I replaced the crank sensor with the original that was on the car last week and also rebuild the DV in case it was sticking but neither of these things have made a difference. I even replaced the bolts holding the crank sensors with the original low height cap head items, just in case
The final tests are to check the plugs again, swap coils 4 and 5 out, as I've swapped all the others without any real change and also try a stock map.
Both these things are very minor and the car runs very well other than that. I just like it to be spot on and this is the latest part of my task to sort that
