oil pressure light?

As im sure you are all aware i have just got my s2 running again before it was taken apart always had good strong oil pressure, started her up today ran up to temp to bleed all the cooling system and power steering ect, checked the radiator fan kicked in then taken her for a spin after going around the block a couple of times I came to a junction and the oil pressure light flashed on the dash, I looked at the oil pressure gauge and that read almost zero. When I put a few revs on the engine oil pressure went up to 2.5-3bar but then back down to almost zero after been revved, I parked it up for a hour started again now I'm getting 1 bar on tickover and 4bar when it's revved which seems more normal? Has anyone got any ideas what could cause this? I have used as always the VW Audi platinum 5-40.. Sorry to be a pest again

Sticky pressure relief valve in the oil pump? It had plenty of oil in it and the electrical earth's are good? Does it sound ok or do the tappets tick?

Check pressure with mechanical gauge if you want to sleep well in night. I'd do it.

I have ocasssonally had this from initial cold start up, usually the warning light goes out after a few minutes, is it a need to change the pump or can I live with IT? I've had a pressure check and its spot on 👍

I have checked the oil and its just starting to turn colour, has a smell of petrol aswell.. im going to change it tomorrow for new oil and change the filter for a genuine one, ill let you all know how I get on
