    what internals?

As some of you know I have had some troubles with my audi s2, I have pulled the engine back out today and whipped the sump off, its terminal and theres metallic paste in the sump, which has taken the crank ect I have given the engine to AutoMark in stokesley who are going to rebuild it and I have bought a 7A engine as a donor engine.. I am thinking of uprating the conrods ect so that in the future if I want to get more power I can 350ish bhp, was thinking of an rs2 set up? What con rods ect would every one recommend?

    Regards Tom

FCP rods seems to be popular: http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51386

Are you going with just the crank from the donor 7A engine?

What do you mean by metallic paste, did you cut open the oil filter too?
Was it a freshly built engine?

How about trying a ghetto stroker :-)

GT-Motorsport from Germany does some good rods, too. At the moment they got a discount with a complete set including RS2 sputter bearings for 599€. Drove the rods for 70tkm, 1,9 bar, no probs.

Thanks I'll have a look at them! Yes I'm just using the 7a donar crank, what type of money is a rs2 turbo, manifold and injectors?

To be honest- f I had to rebuild motor and then take upgrade rods, I would not take stock RS charger. It is limited at ~350-360 hp from compressor side. Injectors, exhaust, intercooler and even stock turbine from RS2 is all good for ~420hp. I would either take an old, worn out and cheap RS2 turbo and rebuild and upgrade it, or another turbo that is able to do that ~420hp. Costs nearly the same, has similar lag, but around 50 hp more.
Injectors and manifold you may find in forums or ebay some used in good condition, so 2000£ should be enough, yes- maybe even for the 420s hp IMHO.

What are the part numbers for the turbo, injectors and manifold? how much power can the gearbox and drive train reliably take?

Drivetrain should take enough :-) never heard of a broken shafts in street cars only by motorpower. Gearbox is a bit tricky...mine was refurbished, stock parts only, and ran more than 70tkm with sinter clutch, no ploblems, no noise, still smooth gear switches with 1,9 bar and around 500nm of torque. IMHO especially gearboxes can be much more reliable when you change gearbox oil every year. I did not- and it is still fine
But very depending on how you drive the car. Bearings, bushings etc maybe changed to PU ones, or new ones at least.

Ex manifold RS2 is out of sell at Audi AFAIK... Partnumbers I don´t know :-)
