Re- & Overbore Costs

Just been quoted ~£200 to get the block taken to 81.5mm and ~£290 to 82mm.

I paid £30 per bore bore & plateau hone to size - that was to 82mm

Oh and they decked it for free aswell. You need a new machine shop

Guys,.... this is the problem living in the south in general,extortionate prices compared to the home of engineering in the midlands.

Aelred is doing it for me He was surprised by the ££ too.

Real shame that cyl 5 was more worn than we could accept (but still in tolerance) so my £400 block now needs £1k extra spending on it

FCP rods and pistons. The pistons are 8.5:1 rather than 8:1 and are a little cheaper. The rods are X beam Pauter profile and are rifle drilled, for better lubrication at low speed.
