Quick question, do you need different types of clamps for silicone hoses, or are standard jubilee clips up to the job?
I would have thought that standard oem jubilee clips are fine.

The stock jubilee clips are very good quality, as long as they haven't been over tightened they should last forever.

I didn't bother refit the bit of ducting that goes on the side of the rad and makes access a pig, didn't notice any difference in how hot the engine runs or how often the fan kicks in. Only now I can change/check any of the components on that side of the engine in minutes, apart from the knock sensors, their a fiddle to get at whatever..

I'd buy an OE switch and keep the Meyle one as an emergency spare.

          Cheers for the comments.

I will leave the cowling off, so I can get better access. Also will save a tiny bit of weight aswell.

            No worries mate.

Defo change those couple of hoses while your in there, also have a look what sort of state the knock sensors are in as you need the rad and fan out the way to deal with them. If their falling to bit's now would be the time to change them.
