2001 S3 Hydraulic Tappet Checking Procedure

Hi all, Need to check all my Hydraulic Tappets before building my head back up, the head i have is Apy and has been stood for quite a while so all lifters had drained of oil.
My question is, are the lifters that have the centre free and able to press in and out good ones?? and the odd ones that the centres are solid are the faulty ones??

Iv'e attached some lifters iv'e seen on Ebay, have you heard of these??
