    TTE - The Turbo Engineers

Seen quite a few R/S4 and RS6 beasts that use turbos by these guys; anyone using one of their turbos on an I5? Seem to do quite a few RS2 upgrades...

They are good but too expensive. Almost 4000€ for a K27 is too much.

TTE do, what I described in some threads here, either- they combine our old turbos with modern KKK compressor wheels (turbine wheels didn´t change the last 30 years :-)).

They do very good work on the mechanical side (matching etc.), and after some "learning effect" in the beginnings, their combinations are also quite good in most cases right now :-)

The prices are not the cheapest, that´s right- origin KKK parts are not cheap, and manufactured in Germany is not, either. On the other hand you have the KKK reliability, and very individual customizable turbos (polygon shaft, KSM housing etc.). Possible to buy completely new, or in exchange for your old one.

A friend of mine has ~900 hp C6 RS6 tuned by Sportmile Polska and using TTE hybrid turbos, and compared to previous setup ( same HP , higher boost on standard turbos ) the car is different, lots of torque at 2000 rpm , seamless acceleration to ....beyond 330++ km/h .

Definately worth the try. I am midway through my rs2 conversion on C4 S6 and will probably opt for the 420 rs2 billet setup in a year or two .
