Would you mind post a photo of the serial number plate (should be silver and blue) for the archives:

I would go billet RS2 and get it custom mapped. You do however need larger fuel pump/injectors than stock RS2.. I have stock RS2 on my S2 and am in need of more power already 1 year on

I don't see any reason to destroy this new turbo. This is a 1200 Euro Turbo. The billet upgrade costs (I think) at least 500 Euro.
If you want to go the billet way, you can get a 2nd hand one, the cheapest one possible (350-450 euro) because it will be refreshed anyway.
Or you can buy one directly from Albert that is has been already upgraded (650-700 euro).
                Do the math

                  Very close in this photo:

I am curious whether it is like mine:

Which came from a batch like these ones (RS2 spec from KKK but without the Audi PN):

                  94 UrS4 V8 6 spd manual avant

Sad to say it, but Barto is right :-)
Sad in the way, that I love the idea of upgraded turbo, that would be the best way to get a 420hp and 600nm turbo with stock spoolup an oem look. But I would not take a new turbo for that- that´s burning money. Next time, ask Santa for a really old and worn one ;-)

Being a brand new 7200 (!) I would probably do as others have said and keep it as is, then maybe a year or two down the line go billet

I agree with both 'posters'. Keep this one mint and get a second hand one to make oem++ when this is not powerful enough.

I agreed with most peoples here.keep it simple and use it as is.if you are not satisfied then you could put it off for upgrade anytime.

Thanks. So it looks like yours is one of the Borg-Warner 5324-988-7200 KKK K24-7200 clones that they built to supply demand without going through the Audi part system. Not original RS2 OE but supposedly exactly the same, maybe with the odd improvement (or not).
