    RS2 camwheel

    HI,
I am new at RS2 so i have couple of questions.
I know that the RS2 wheel have B stamped on it.
My RS2 does not have it.
Car has weird configuration of the cambelt.
Previous owner used 151 tooth cam belt and 26 tooth water pump.
Is it possible that he changed camwheel to trick the ecu ?
i would like mention that my car is early production RS2.
It has some diffrences of normal production RS2.
It is possible that audi use another camwheel at the beginning ?
I found in the forum pics of some earlier RS2 with ADU 00008 stamped on head.
It has i think normal wheel without B stamped on it.

    first pic is my camwheel
    pics 2 & 3 found at forum
    Thanks for help

RS2 Cam Sprocket / Shutter Wheel PN

To be clear, you are looking for the 034109105B toothed belt pulley with the G40 cam position shutter wheel marked "B" indicating that its shutter opening has been moved 10 degrees of rotation relative to the normal 034109105 AAN/ABY shutter wheel.

By the way, it looks like you have a very bad cam seal leak that is probably going to foul the cam sensor and eat the cam belt.

well i have looked at few rs2 and the cam pulley is not with b .. its not something that you change every day..
all the 4 rs2 had the cam pulley without b markings and they all worked fine...

          Engine is going to reseal.
The camwheel was just after cleaning (i was looking for B stamp) thats why is wet.
How can i check is it proper camwheel?
On etk online i found that RS2 have 2 diffrent motronic unit. Maybe thats is the clue?
When i set cam marks, camwheel mark is at the right sight of the arrow but should be on left....

Here are two photos. The first shows a new RS2 105B cam sprocket. Note that the timing mark on the sprocket is a tooth No. 6 (where tooth No. 1 is straight up from the cast key on the sprocket. Tooth 27 (= 1 +52/2) is directly opposite No. 1 and is the approximately at the edge of the start of the apature in the shutter wheel which ends at Tooth 31 not Tooth 32 (=6 + 52/2) like the AAN/ABY sprocket. In contrast, the AAN/ABY shutter wheel opening which starts at about tooth 28 and ends at Tooth 32 (still 4 teeth wide).

Here is an AAN/ABY sprocket on the left and an RS2 sprocket on the right. The shutter openings on the shutter wheel are shifted by about one tooth, relative to the other. Both are about 4 teeth wide. One tooth in 52 is about 6.92 degrees if somebody wants to try to reconcile that with the 10 degree shift in the lobe centers of the RS2 exhaust cam relative to the AAN/ABY exhaust cams.
