I would like to help but my ABY has a BRC sequential kit so I can“t comment on the ones you describe!

The prices seem realy good, is that just for the kit? I paid 2000€ 3 years ago but it was for everything, parts, labour, special ITV, alteration of car documents and one full tank.

Sorry to hijack thread. How does the engine like LPG, as I'm planning on doing mine some time soonish.

The prices i posted include installing fee. But you will have to pay another fee at the mot place to aknowledge the lpg system. I think the mot fee cannot be higher than 100 euro.

Tried googling each setup and seeing general opinions on them? Don't think you'll find many LPG fans here

Mine had a LPG system installed when I bought it. Cheap to run it may be but when the electrics start going wrong (and I believe it's a matter of time for this to happen) then there's no way for you to find out where the problem is. You cannot turn off the LPG system even if you pull the fuse as all the wires going from the engine's ECU to the injectors are permanently re-routed through the LPG control unit. Your engine valves aren't cooled or lubricated so you'll need to install a device on your inlet manifold to inject a "valve saver" additive. Because the combustion chamber overheats and does so unevenly, there's always the threat that you'll burn the valves. On my car I've already replaced the fuel pump (apparently I shouldn't be driving with the tank half-empty as the fuel pump overheats but nobody told me that) and the ignition coil because the factory plugs (for petrol use) have a greater gap than what is required for LPG use and that puts a stress on the ignition coil. Not to mention that LPG consumption is up by approx 30% compared to petrol consumption. To cut the long story short.... I wouldn't do it.

                  LPG important bits:

NEEDS an engine remap on any turbo car, because the fuel mixture is too rich and you can burn the valves.
Also ignition timing must be adjusted.

I have made 450hp on a custom LPG setup and the car was faster on LPG than gasoline, but it is very important to have the correct map!

I've no idea! I tried googling it but I couldn't find much. It's an Emmegas system from what I can gather but they don't seem to be quality systems. They're rather cheap.

What I know though is that this is the second 2.6 ABC Audi 80 Avant that I own (both registered 11/1993). My previous one always started first time, never had a problem, never called the road assistance and it has been driven as far high as Edinburgh and as low down as Cyprus. This one.... I've lost count of how many times I called road assistance. Fuel pump packed up, ignition coil the same, thermostat was so burnt I was pulling it out in pieces, loose ground wires that resulted in the engine not starting and me wasting money on replacing G40 and other sensors etc..... It may be that whoever installed the LPG system on my car did a really bad job. I'll accept that. But having been through a lot I just wouldn't risk doing it to my car, because it's irreplaceable. If it was a new Hyundai, Vauxhall, VW etc then I probably wouldn't have a problem doing it.

It's most likely a ***** installation, as my old A100 was 2.6 V6 and had no issues with LPG at all.

Yep mu stroker at 450 bhp is on lpg. No problems. Kme ecu with twin Kme gold vapouriser and major jet injectors. Other than replacing the injectors after about 50k miles I have had no problems. Also wife's seat leon cupra turbo is on lpg too. Same ecu , silver Kme vaporiser and same injectors. No problems.

If you have a weak ignition system lpg will find it but good parts will last as normal. Also always keep min 25% petrol in tank to keep fuel pump wet.

To get the best out of lpg you need to use good kit and have it well installed. Plenty of setups that are a mess and cause problems. But like anything the more bits on your car there are the more bits cab go wrong.

I am thinking of "premium" conversion with best available setup. But prj said something about a remap so it doesn't run that rich? I assume it needs live mapping to do that?

Sorry if I am using "wrong terminology"
