This is what me and pete (blown_VR6) have been puzzling about on his new 95 avant. Its red too funnily enough and the cloth on the interior has no quattro script.

      Hi David

Eurocarparts have the oil pressure switch pt no. 466440030 for £3.26 plus vat , the other is the sender for the oil press gauge. I wouldn't attempt it without taking the rad out, besides if it's been leaking some cleaning up will be required. Got to be done soon!

        'quattro' script missing from interior

Maybe it is a genuine story about the factory being depleted of the 'quattro' scripted seats towards the end of the production run. Perhaps someone else can add to this - 2 Laser red S2s with non-scripted seats fitted circa 95-96 so far. Any other takers ?

Unless it was an option to have non quattro script cloth in the S2, without having to go down the leather route???

I had to replace the senders on mine not too long back. got the parts from ECP initially but one of the sensors was the wrong range. As it turns out when I got it all apart it wasnt the sender leaking but the adapator that screws inbetween the block and the sender required a new washer.

easiest way to do it is to remove the radiator to get access to it all. Details are on here http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9768

Just had to do my pressure switch today - small puddles of oil had begun to form underneath the car!.
I did think it was originally where the breather enters the block as someone has applied some sealant round it but on closer inspection i beleive the crush washer on the pressure switch was goosed.
Good job that the car came with some brand new switches in a box - one genuine VAG pressure switch fitted .
Been busy on it this week - fitted my Votex Comfort lock central locking kit ive had laying around in the garage for a while, just got to rig it upto the indicators and im looking for a total closure module as it can shut all the windows/roof too
Access to the pressure switch is a pain in the backside - i managed to do it by moving the rad forward, youll need a 24mm deep socket to go over the switch.

                    Oh sh*t i broke it

Got what sounds like the same on my 95 avant, only seems to do it on overboost tho (i.e. when booting it from low down in the rev range). I went down to allaudi in bristol a few weeks back to get the fault codes read, but couldn't link up with their reader, dispite the fact that it seemed to be working fine on another car.

If anyone knows what the problem could be can they give us a heads up?

Its not a boost test as Mr Casey helped me do one recently , the MAF has been cleaned with IPA, new DV about 9 months ago, and a new WGFV on the way
