    over boost problem

    is this a faulty wgfv?

over boost keeps cutting in when you floor it
just fitted a new dump valve
    no boost leaks
tried backing off the waste gate spring but it still does it

    any ideas?

    Will,

when my wgfv gave up, when accelerating heavily, a severe hesitation occured, so severe I almost hit the steeringwheel with my forehead. But the lambda fault gave similar symptoms too.

I used to get this and had a nightmare finding the cause of my problem. in the end what it was was a dodgy connection to the MAF, i pulled the fuses to wipe the memory, unplugged the MAF, cleaned the plug with a toothbrush and contact cleaner, plugged it back in and re-fitted the fuses--presto (Fingers and Thumbs crossed, it hasnt happened for 8 month now)
