I find it funny how people replace them with aftermarket stuff, because usually the aftermarket stuff hasn't even been around that long, and it's not proven it's better at all.

So just get a new N75 in and forget the issue.
"Their usable life is about 8-10 years." Thanks for that and good to know they are more than adequate of 2.5 bar and over.

      Interesting read.
Been meaning to fit my new ABY valve for a few months. My car pulls well but everything I've read on the forum suggests these deteriorate over time. Anything for a bit more pull and keeping it OE.

Eric, do you happen to know what the difference is between the two - N & P ?

More durable, or better performance, or both ?

Just curious, now I've fitted a new 710N.

            By-pass valve info

Some BPV info including 710N = the best at the time. Not sure what a 710P would be from. The 710N was from the 225 hp TT (IIRC). Bosch sold the tooling to KAYSER so there are no more Bosch 710Ns. Not sure about the 710P.

Realistically, and tbh, I am very happy with my new 710N, so won't be looking to change.

Car pulls strong, within the realms of it's spec, and the laws of physics as Dimitri says.

The improvements were not massive in terms of the overall bhp, but definitely noticeable when you drive it everyday, and are obsessed. I feel I have a good butt dyno.

Obviously it was not running as well as now over the last couple of months, but I didn't fully appreciate that, apart from the obvious and annoying hesitation fault caused by the coil which couldn't keep up under decent throttle load.

i believe its supposed to have subtle internal changes to make it more robust and its operating specs have been tweaked
