can the oil pressure gauge be fiited else were

has anyone moved [different unit req] the oil pressure sensor from its original place to the bottom front corner of block off oil pump replacing the oil temp sensor that is standard there [ or is it poss to run both sensors from down there ]. we have modded the oil check valve and it is now adjustable to reduce oil flow to head but this is also giving us low oil pressue on gauge which is fitted in the standard place in the oil gallery above the check valve

Don't know about fitting one where the oil temp bulb is on the oil pump, think that could be an issue as the sensor holds the relief valve in place if I'm not mistaken. Be easier to tee off the oil cooler circuit, or if there's a boss on the oil filter housing you could add it there.

we are going to run with a low pressure 2bar oil light switch at the place where the oil temp sensor normaly sits , we cut one up so we can mod it so that it dosnt effect the spring for the pressure relief valve , then the oil pressure sensor above the check valve we will leave in place to inform us of pressure to head [which is now lower than standard due to the fact we have closed the check valve by 50% . next time clylinder head is removed we can fit a 2mm restrictor in face of block at oil out let then open check valve back up to standard therefore oil pressure gauge will be showing standard oil pressure readings instead of the low level [ apprx half normal oil pressure ] with check valve only half open even though we know the bottom end has great pressure , this will reduce oil flow to head and hopfully stop it spewing oil out the rear cam cover breather , even though we now have that piped back to sump and crank case breather and one extra breather on top of cam cover going to a seperate oil sepertor that vents to atmo
