Is that gold thing not an atmospheric dump valve?

That air filter seat up will heat soak, stock airbox would be better.

I would get the car back to stock intake set up and take it from there.

The cone filter gives a lot more intake noise.

Your wastegate has also been modified, that bolt in the centre is not stock, probably wound down to give more mechanical boost, possible a larger spring?

Is the lower wastegare hose still connected to the N75 valve? Is the N75 valve still plugged in?

Hi thanks for the replys, yes that daft gold thing is an atmospheric dump valve that has been fitted to the maf hose haha, but the vac line that's ment to go to the dv was pushed onto the waste gate ? Prob because with the vac line attached to the dv it would of been messing with the mixture/metered air.

I have been searching for a standard airbox but can't find one so debating an air filter canister or whatever there called with a cold air feed? Also fancied a tubular with a gt30 so a standard airbox would be no good for this?

I don't know if it can be made out on the video but you can here the turbo start to come it then it just splutters.

I've ordered silicone vac hoses, dv bung to remove the gold dump valve, set of plugs, I'm trying to source parts for a boost leak device, and I was also wondering I broke up my 04 s4 v8 a few years ago and still have the full loom and red coil packs, would these be suitable for a coil pack conversion? I could even *******ise the loom for the plugs and wires with spares to boot!

1. Bin that gold piece of **** and fit a stock recirc valve and plumb it in properly
2. Replace that wastegate with an unmolested one
3. Find a standard airbox and bin that chav filter. Post up a wanted ad, ABY airboxes are pretty easy to come by.
4. Replace all the small bore vac/boost hoses
5. Boost leak test and rectify any leaks
6. Pull fault codes and post the results

without the vacuum pipe on that dumpvalve boost could blow it open and cause a leak.. get the wood saw out and fit a bit of broom shank instead (good mod on gtir's as im sure your aware )

Hahaha a had to think there but your right like and funnily enough I actually was looking about the house yesterday for a broom as a had a sneaky suspicion haha gave in in the end and order a dump valve bung.
