Boost(and we aint talkin chocolate bars)

Ive still got a problem with boost. Its ok low down but when i give it some it seems to surge and then drop off and surge and drop off and......you know how it goes. Its not the pipes leaking i tried them yesterday.what else can it be.Wish i knew more bout these damn cars and i wouldnt keep askin questions. but i need your cause where i live its snowing theres about 4 inches and i need to go out and play for a while :mischeif: I have done everything that i read in all the threads i could find on the forum but how do ya reset the ecu? is it like a normal efi car where you just disconect the battery for 30 secs or so or is there a safer way to do it. Larry Carr nice to see someone with the same name mate im simon carr pleased to see ya.

Snow! I want! Clear as a bell and sunny down here.

I'm pretty sure it's just a battery disconnect to reset the ecu.

I want snow too! Bright and clear here.

I think you remove the fuse labelled motor to reset the ECU IIRC from a previous thread.

Yep,,,,pull the red topped covered fuses (two fuses under the cover) for a minute or so, remember to put it back in the right way round. I've also read on here to drive the car gently for the fist 5 or so miles, for the ecu to re-learn it's mixture settings

Going back to your car. LOL. Remove the DV and test it, or just replace it. Not expensive to swap out and try. Think they are 14 quid or so from Vagparts.(710N part no.)

Try pullng the motor fuses for a bit, but i doubt that will cure it.
