Rough idle after changing clutch and installing SMFW

I recently replaced the clutch in my RS2 with a southbend stage 3 clutch and a resurfaced 7A steel flywheel. I'm not sure if it's related but my car is now idling rough. I'm getting a flutter at idle and it continues when the engine is revved.

I've checked the obvious. Electrical connections, replaced the spark plugs, checked the injectors (every disconnected injector caused the engine to run rougher so I don't have one bad cylinder). Checked the MAF connector.

I binked the codes but there are none stored.

It almost seems like the timing is off. Could there be an issue with the 7A flywheel? I know others have done the swap with success.

The car sat for about 8 months with a full tank of gas. I can't remember if I used stabil in the tank. Could the gas be stale?

    I'm running out of ideas.

    Thanks,
    Dave

the only problems I've heard of is the pin posing triggering problems, but thats mostly on aftermarket engine management and really only affect startup. What else came apart when you pulled the trans? Peronally I'd put fresh gas in. if its still rough, smoke test the intake for any leaks. also check your wiring harness grounds on the intake.

      Hey Marc,

I had the header out and the air box. Can't find any leaks there. I took it for a good run and I'm getting full boost (1.8 bar) with no hesitation. It really feels like engine is sputtering though.

I did replace the subframe bushings with 034 aluminum ones and installed a snub mount. Could those along with the single mass flywheel really cause the whole car to shake? I can't see it making that much of a difference.
