    Code 00544

I carried out a vag com test today and the only code that popped up up was 00544 boost pressure exeeded code which when i checked with ross tech the code was 01262 N75. The reason for checking was i had a boost type symptom where the car jerked when accelerating it only done it the once but i done the test anyway. Im still having running issues where the car is revving high when started/and when coming to a stop at junctions it does this mainly when it's hot and yestaday i had a popping like a firework banger going off from the engine area sounded like unspent fuel going off, this is the first time it's happened, anyway the N75 is new only been on the car 7 months done a boost leak test a couple of weeks ago and everything looked ok. Anybody had this type of issue before and can advise please.

Almost certainly an air leak somewhere I'd suspect. If its sucking in unmetered air at idle, the ECU will be chucking in fuel to stop anything melting; hence the high idle. Under boost, the turbo will be working harder to achieve its target boost as some of it will be escaping somewhere. Would probably explain the popping you're getting too.
If its that bad though, systematically spraying carb cleaner at every pipe/join/connector will probably show where the leak is

High idle will be a leak on the inlet manifold, so check out all the little hoses attached to that area of the car. Otherwise check thatcyhe throttle is working properly and is activating the idle switch.

I will get on it, would the little plastic seals in the inlet manifold cause this ? I read on here somewhere that they crack and cause leaks.
