    Oil filter housing gasket NLA?

My local TPS told me yesterday that they can't get these anymore. (Round one onto the block)
    Anyone buy one recently?

Face it folks. At more than 20 years old, it is not surprising that Audi is starting to let the spares bin(s) go empty. We're going to have to start improvising, including (re)learning how to cut gaskets from rubber sheets, cork, etc. just like your father or grandfather did before or after WWII when things were either pricy or scarce.

It's in the Reinz bottom end gasket set.

Reinz also supplies the raw material for you to cut from, as Dave suggested:

Where would you buy the bottom end gasket set Alex?

Does it have front and rear crank seals in it?

My dad just gave me a set of gasket punches, and explained how to lay a gasket on the manifold (or whatever you want a gasket for) and tap lightly round the edges to create the outline.

He suggested a coupe of sheets of gasket paper are very handy to have around, especially when fixing something at night to use the next day.

Cardboard from cereal boxes can work too

Don't worry none on my S2 but used to use them on an old dirt bike I got when I was 15 - 16 (many years ago) ..

That was also mentioned, I think much worse may have been used in the middle of a rally!

I can offer this gasket, if anyone still needs it.
I also have lots of other gaskets and custom stuff for those R5 20V engines.
