    Diverter Valves

Sorry to drag this up again but.....
I am thinking it would be best to replace my original Throttle Diverter Valve on my RR engined ur-quattro (as 3B) which is now 15 years old.

Do you guys reckon its best to go for the Stock S3 item (06A 145 710N) or, a Forge FMDV007P?

Is the Forge a similar size and fit to the original? (If I went for this one it would be in anodised black) as I want to keep it all looking fairly original in the engine bay. Any drawbacks to the Forge? and what spring would be best suited?. Can Lee still supply these?

In have recently fitted a new soleniod frequency valve and vac. hoses and its not been chipped (yet!). The tamperproof top/cap on the wastegate is missing, exposing the allen screw so I also want to get it checked that the WG spring & adjustment are stock.

    Any comments chaps?

S3 diverters are cheaper, the forge ones are all metal and I never worry about the 007 mine.

Mmmm yes, I'm definately liking the fact that the Forge is all metal. If you are using one Doug I take it that its just as suitable and works just as well for the standard set-up as for uprated?

And maybe, just maybe it would give a little blow-off noise occasionally?, which would be nice!

Would it be as responsive (or more!) as the stock item under all conditions?

I'm very pleased with my DV007. It made a very noticable difference to how well the car ran (standard S4) and it does give off a little blow off noise, just enough to let people know what you're running! I've heard good things about them on tuned 20v's too and although they're more expensive they're more reliable and servicable and have a lifetime guarantee, can't be bad!! I got mine from www.badger5.co.uk for a very reasonable price!

Looking on the Forge Motorsport website has the Valve FMDV007P mentioned on here been superceeded by FMCL007P, or is a different product????

Which is the one I would need?
