    Borg Warner turbos

In the quest for a reliable and easily to rebuild turbo (after having some issues with turbonetics and CompTurbo) i am going oldschool way :-). I had to choose from BorgWarner Airwerks (s400sx 67mm billlet) or Holset - but i most likely choose the first one http://goo.gl/acNKLI , only one issue so far i can't find undivided housing for this type of turbo. I found a v-band housing (bullseye turbos) , but it's almost half the price of turbo and i need t4 to vband adapters etc. So who sells, or where i can find this - undivded housing for 83mm turbine (S400SX3) ...

i run that turbo, the S400sx, on the drag car now and have for a few years. i love it. 46 psi in my 4cyl motor it makes serious pressure with hardly any backpressure.

    i have 1.00, 1.10, and i run the 1.25 hotside.

i am not sure who has an open volute hotside for it. i havent seen anything nor found anything right now.

why cant you use the T/S/divided hotside? just because its not open and your manifold is, that is not the end of the world. you could also use a spool valve for ~1000 rpm quicker spool, give or take a couple hundred. i know its more money..... it always is more money with cars

Hi Aron , you are the main reason i choose borg warner as it seems to be quite reliable and good numbers in your case :-), did you have a pressure vs power dyno chart by any chance? Also i know about the quick spool valve, but i don't know how it will hold lanch control, ALS and i am always above 5500 rpm so i don't think it would worth the investment :-) . I think that divided housing will still work but might not be the optimum choice.

no i do not, but i do have logs that have not been deciphered. i need to hit it with a couple different air pressures, record that data, then we can see how it coorelates to a run on the track and/or dyno.

i have open 4" exhaust about 2.5-3 feet long is all, and the WG's are open dumped as well not merged into exhaust.

If you want to drive your car not only 1/4 mile or track never ever go to kkk.
Even the small 24-7200 itself seems to me a bad choice.
Ball bearing/billet wheel/tubular em will help diveability.Even so,i think the upper reasonable limit of hp will be 350 450 hp easy to drive.Engine is to small for hp and low boost.
If lag does not matter, low rpm boost build not needed kkk should be the best reliable choice!
          Or go "Thuppu's" way

          Edit now..
Hmm....Vcosmin not Parvu Eugen is asking. My mistake! Go kkk!!!

Any users of Borg Warner S300SX S366 .91 here? I could get this turbo for discounted price, so its really interesting to use on my stroker.

rxl : that s2 nice numbers...still its 2.2 and i think that turbo is not big as he said, but if he needs early spool and boost

Prosac : i know but if it spools around 4200 and full boost around 5, i will be satisfied , other option is S360...

Thuppu Tom, i know that you gonna like it

so i guess to choose a S360...it looks a good choice between power and spool
