Which Pistons

Hi All
Just stripped my engine (3B) and it is going to need a rebore. The engine will be the usual RS2 + spec. I have a few questions,
1 Are standard oversize pistons ok or should I go forged ?
2 Is there any advantage in using lower comp pistons with an RS2 turbo?
3 Any recommended makes ?
Any advice gratefully received.

it depends on spec.

i see no point going with lower cr pistons on a standard rs2 type setup.

you need to get the pistons before the bore and have each bore done to match the piston size. all pistons are not the same size, neither is the bore spec for expansion on different types. id go for a stock type oversize if possible to keep the bore size piston expansion lower. this will create a better everyday engine. forged pistons tend to epand more meaning a bigger bore is needed. this has its own challenges.

Thanks Gazza, for the sound advice. I think I will go standard. I assumed that a new set of pistons would all be the same size, thanks for the heads up.
