    turbo hose/IC o-ring

    Evening guys,

My S2 has been feeling a bit off for the past week or two so I did (or at least tried to) a boost leak test. I found one leak in the system, which wouldn't hold any pressure at all on the LH side of the car, behind the bumper. I'm thinking its either the IC o-ring or michelin man hose that's gone (I'm assuming IC is ok for just now until I can inspect it). Is there any other places it can leak down in that area or is it just these two places?
I'm going to buy a new michelin man hose and do the mark H mod while I have it apart but where's the best places to buy them from? Can I just buy the michelin man hose separate or would I be better off buying a whole kit instead?

    Cheers for now,

    Mike

not sure if this applicable in s2, but in my 200 20v i have removed the connection clips at IC and used a generic Chinese silicon reducer over the connection. Was a tight fit, but definitely doable

Used 70->76mm ID 4mm wall generic ebay chinese reducer. Red one.

Well, I found the culprit (see attached). I guess at some point in the dreary mists of time this was an oring...looks more like a partially chewed shoelace now and probably just as effective as sealing! It looks like someone had the IC off at some point in the past and nipped it when re-assembling. Replaced this with the markH mod and all is well again...at least with this anyway
