I'm finding wildly differing opinions on what fuel consumption people are getting from a 20v quattro (7A).
Can any of you fine gentlemen let me know what you're getting? I'm considering having someone drive mine from Wales to Finland for me so I need to estimate how much fuel it's going to take.
cheers

thanks lads. I'll go with 30mpg as a guesstimate for this loooooong run then.
and 20mpg around town once I get hold of it. Need to clear the cobwebs out you see
erm... what does a full coupe tank of 98/99ron cost in the Uk these days? In Finland I need to sell a body part or one of my kids each time I fill the A4.
Jesus. It's not that different then. I usually pay a bit over 90€ for a tank.
I wonder how long it will take for someone do do an electric conversion on an audi coupe? I mean a Tesla spec conversion by the way, not golf buggy spec. Totally off topic but saw a presentation by Mate Rimmac in Estonia a few weeks ago. What a story. hats off to the guy because he has build something phenomenal while everyone was telling him he was stupid to try. It was the first time I thought about an electric car in a positive light. That was quite a moment actually. weird.

From the little bit's of the car you can see that does look quite appealing if it has the go to back up the looks and if the brakes are anything to go by it has.
Yeah I wonder how long it'll be before some nutter converts an old Audi, I guess once battery technology moves on it's only a matter of time...

it's a good looking beastie and he has done a bunch of other things from electric bikes to pimping some guy's electric wheelchair so he could get back home after a long run to see his friend. If I can find his presentation online (video) I'll share it.

thanks matey. actually 63 litres.. that's a decent sized tank. I don't think my A4's is that big. I'm lucky to get anywhere near 30 mpg on a run, even with the family and being sensible. 3.0Q seems to be on par with the 4.2V8. I should have bought an S4 all those years ago!
