My S2 ABY cuts out when I fully open the throttle, I think it's because of fuel starvation, and I think that's because of a blocked EVAP canister. The easiest thing to do would be to disconnect it, either at the EVAP can, or the fuel tank. Only the problem is, I don't know where the EVAP is, or where the breather is attached to the fuel tank. I'd love it if anyone knows where it is, and which one is the best option.

I seriously doubt that it is blocked. Disconnected, maybe, but not blocked.

I should have asked, is it in the left wing for a RHD car or a LHD car, or does it not make a difference?1996 Audi S2 Coupe ABY Emerald Green

I don't know much, but before going to this bother, have you changed your fuel filter under the drivers side RHD rear of the car ?
Have you changed the fuel pump ? If you do change your fuel pump, take the opportunity to update / future proof to a Bosch 044 pump, if you definitely intend to keep the car.
Changing the pump can be difficult for the uninitiated, so be prepared to pay for a decent garage to do it, or get someone near you to do it / assist you.
What is the mileage on the car ?
Yesterday I changed the fuel pump as it felt like a car that wasn't fully interested in revving, it would do it, but it's heart was't fully in it, but after changing the pump yesterday it revs like a 'Honda' - cleanly and everytime like it should.
The car only has 50k miles on it, but it is 18 years old.
Just sayin..........
p.s. Dave is right.

HTH.

How did you come to diagnose the EVAP?
I would post up your symptoms, and any tests you have done and people will be more than happy to walk you through.
I would start with fault codes and a boost leak test of the entire intake system as it will probably be leaking if you have not done this before.Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon
