N/a 20v non starter , no fuel pump sound

Just had a quick glance at latest acquisition.
Turns over fine, won't start
Place I bought it from said it started then cut out
I'm thinking fuel pump
Changed relay for known good one
Does 10v pump straight swap?
I've a good one here I could try
Not had time check spark etc but will go through usual suspects!

Depends on the VIN. Assuming 7A Coupe Quattro, up to 8B-L-030000:

Was second one.
Replaced it with the spare I had (typically the long one, but it fit!) and all running now
You can all laugh at my blonde moment tho
Got the pump in, wired it to the pump cover, then the farmer asks me move my road car
Go back, jump pack on, no start.
Oh bu**er
Check dizzy not broken
No
Both glove boxes out once I find a VAG alarm unit
Trace wires back
Check all fuses
Try again
Nowt
Think f this. Too hot out and I'm burning my slap head
Get tools from changing pump out of boot
Doh! Not plugged pump feed wire to top of cover
Car starts !
