    Dual 044 intank S2 coupe - pictures?

    Hi,

I'm planning to exchange my BOSCH 413 fuelpump to dual 044 intank setup -planning to swap to E85 in the future. My two 044 arrived now.

I have an idea how to setup the two pumps in tank but I know a few people here have done it before. So I would appreciate if someone is willing to show some pictures of his intank setup.

I know the original basket can not used because the outer diameter is only 110mm.

    thanks

    my old setups:

My 044 lasted only 9000 miles (15.000km) on E85, so there are much better choices out there for that, for example the Walbro GST450 (450lph) E85 rated pump that is in my car now.

However, if you use an additive like Redline SI-Alcohol, the 044 might be OK.

We've got a kit coming soon that will allow dual GST450's in tank (or any other 39mm diameter pump), t'd to run down the stock line. just requires a small hole drilled in the top for the additional wiring required (fuel tight cable clamp supplied). I've got the parts on my desk at the moment to feed one of the beast EFR9180 projects at the Iroz skunkworks. should be a great budget minded option for big fueling.

        Thanks for reply...

... we are still using dual 044 with E85 in our cars for years now... no issues so far...

...but you are right, Bosch description mentions the shorter Live of 044 with E85...

I will have a look at the walbro... maybe ist time for such a new solution :-)

PS but the walbro has a massive break in above 80PSI :-/

there are other 39mm pumps if you dont like the GST450 (I like the DW300 Deatschwerks). they all will drop off some at high pressure, even the 044 does. one easy solution is to drop to 3 bar base pressure.

Here are some pump comparisons vs pressure:

          and the GST450 graph:
