Car Won't Start After Changing Crank Oil Seal

As per title just changed the crank oil seal now the car won't start not sure if it's because there is no intercooler plus the hoses or if the problem could be these picks.

Cant figure out why the timing mark on the camshaft has moved slightly.

It won't start with the timing that far out.

You'll need to remove the belt and adjust the cam timing

I tied 2 cable ties around the camshaft to hold the belt in place and just took the belt off the crank toothed sprocket as i have done many a time the only thing that i did was on the main pulley and was turn the two parts in error, but they only go back the one way to line up the bolt holes to replace the big pulley to the crank.

If U have not connected the intercooler and pipes are loose, then car does not start. Turn the engine several times because the marks aren't at the same place, on every 2nd round, marks should be in right place. I hope U understand what I mean.

This is 2 teeth out. Too many for the ECU to see a good G40 cam sensor signal at the appropriate time.

Forget the "why" Just fix it. Here is a link to a quick fix (if you have the crank locked at TDC):

Thanks Dave , straight to the point as usual and armed with all the knowledge on all things Audi I5 I must admit I had forgot that doing what you have pointed out was the way to sort it I think I'm going senile in my old age

                      Thanks.

The reason why will be because you would have had slack.on leading edge of belt.

Also if you want it to start with the intake hoses off you will need to unplug the MAF.

                            Get the timing done first.

What? Don't you like the idea of valves being given a "Glasgow kiss" by the pistons if things are out of sync? (Not sure if 2 teeth off would cause an issue but I know a broken timing belt sure will).

Intake valves protrude into the combustion chamber:
