Mmmm let me think about that - could be a go-er and IIRC it was MarkH who also saw this when he fitted the RS2 waterpump. Or maybe I'm just making that up !

Yep, the ADU water pump has three teeth less than the ABY..........could be that?

The problem is further compounded by the ADU cam pulley Hall trigger being in a slightly different (advanced??) position compared to the ABY making it more sensitive to timing position.

Part No for timing belt and camshaft pulley are different for rs2 and s2. Most likely they have different dimentions.

The problem was solved and the reason was the bad belt timing.
On the ADU engines once you set the flywheel mark correctly, the mark on the cam pulley does not match the V mark on the head cover. In my case was offset by half a tooth to the right of the V mark.By turning the cam pulley one tooth to the left the problem regarding the "hall sensor g40" was gone throughout the engine's RPM. Once the above fault is gone and the ECU "permits" the engine to produce the correct turbo boost.
Note that the cam pulley mark was still offset by half a tooth but this time to the left.

Hey Mati, I have correct my RS2 timing as you state and the car now runs fine, starts fine but boost has increased but still limited to 1bar.
I will try unplugging and plugging back the ecu to check if it clears the problem .
          Suggestions any1???

But as the cam wheel is also unique to the rs2 one would think that the mark would be right..

Ok now the @#$%^&* things got me
It still wont boost above 0.8bar
Close off the WGFV and I can get any boost I want.
What controls the ECU signal to the WGFV????
Unpluged the ECU overnight. Is there away of reseting it?

Unplugging for a minute or so is enough to reset it.

Done a pressure test yet ?

                Pulled faulty codes ?

Reset the ECU, and the RS2 boosts again.
Slight jurk under WOT, so will look at that next.
