    3b Vagcom?

    Hi gang
Just a quick query, on the 3B coupe, where is the VAGCOM interface located, and what type of connector does it require?

Been having some intermittent issues with the car stalling when doing stupid "speed bump" runs, you know the thing, speed up, brake, go over hump in neutral, speed up, brake, go over hump in neutral and then watch the car stall, bring in the clutch and off we go.

A mechanic I know has VAGCOM on his laptop so I was wondering where and how it connects up?

    Cheers!

Hi there - great picture, so it's a two-pin type connector, not the more modern one with lots of pins? Next question then, which coloured socket? And finally, where is that access panel in the car?

      Cheers!

On the 3B the OBD plugs are just above the pedals in the driver side footwell...

Dan - don't despair if you cannot see them at first... I know many 3B'd S2's that have had those connectors tucked under the trim panel as its very easy to knock them out of their location studs.

You need to connect VAG-COM as per the norm with 2x2 connector. Black to Black and White to Brown.

Alternatively you can use the Blue connector with an LED to pull blink codes...
