cooling fan on all the time

Is it normal that the cooling fan is on from the moment I start the cold engine? And I think the fan stops when I cut the engine, even if it is warm. What is this please?

This isn't the first time I've heard about this.

I have the older climate and it has different wiring so can't do much more than guess...

Try to pull out the fan relays one by one and see what makes the fan stop. They're located in the fuse box in the back row. 2 or 3 of them.

If it does not run when ignition is off then it probably has nothing to do with the after run cooling.
If the climate unit makes the fan run (even if the AC is off) the obvious cause would be a faulty climate unit triggering the fan on even if the AC is off.
Would need to have the schematics..

        Not normal.

Try installing a new temp sensor in your radiator. This sensor controls you fan and sometimes it sticks. Not an uncommon problem. Had the same thing on my car.

The climate control triggers one of the fans. When the climatecontrol unit breakes, its usually a ground related problem. Somehow the climatecontrol grounds the fan. SImply by replacing the climatecontrol from a mates car forexample would tell you if its the temp switch or the climatecontrol causing the problem.
