Previously it was established that the 3B/AAN/ABY MAF had a Bosch PN equivalent:
MAF 3B / ABY/ AAN------------- 034 133 471 K ----- 0 280 213 007

Yesterday, a member of our local UrS club emailed me with photos of another alternative, a Bosch 0986280137 that he recently bought from WorldPac as a replacement for his sick 034133471K. Physically looks like our OE 471K MAF. Box said "NEW New" and was dated 8 - 10 - 15 on the label. It looks like the one below, complete with paper label.
When I posted this info someone posted that "The Bosch # 0986280137 has been listed for years in the worldpak catalog as w0133-1598295, a remanufactured 0280213007 MAF. The 098 number is generally used for reman parts. Maybe they ran out of cores and found a manufacturer. Did it have a country of origin? Part # and label on the part?"
I responded that I haven't seen the box in person yet so I can't answer his last questions.
Anyway, looks like a potential alternative.
