    NM engine with "kompressor"

Hi guys. I have a little project but...I need your help :-)

I would like to install an eathon kompressor (thanks slk) in my NM.
I use this car only in winter, with snowy road...and I need more power and torque...
So ... Does anybody has ever put an "kompressor" in a NM or 7a engine?
Which problems could I meet during conversion ?
    Any suggestion?

    Thank you so much !!!

You might want to consider this 7A turbo kit from 034 Motorsports:

Thank you UrS4boy, I know this kit from 034 but I would like to use a Kompressor because in this way I don't need to change downpipe and exhaust; I don't need to completely strip my engine for the new oil and water turbo line.
Kompressor has super fast response and no lag.
      I don't whant 300hp...I hope to find 20/30 hp with 0.5 bar ..

There's a guy on here who put an Eaton on a 10v. NG or KV I think. Have a search for the thread, would be more or less the same except the intake plumbing.

...my concern would be with the fuel management, if rods and pistons can take the excess torque..
I notice 034 supplies a new head gasket with the kit, I suppose they will probably drop C.R. to go with the turbo.. but with a compressor??

            interesting idea.. keep us updated!

I had looked at this for my 7A a number of times, the M62 Easton from a Merc was perfect for about 250hp at a reasonable overdrive, the M45 from the slightly later Merc or mini is a little small, will only add about 20hp if it's over driven to its limit. The stock 7A system from what I understand can be made work with boost and .5 bar should be fine, look on motorgeek perhaps for help on that

I can confirm 7a ecu etc does an OK job at running boost. Will be off to a dyno soon to see what hp I'am making at roughly .4/.5 bar, haven't up the boost yet as I don't have an intercooler fitted.

                    Dega,
as I told you on the phone: fitting the compressor is not a problem..
..but I am busy with the other project you know about, so I don't want to get caught in the middle of another messy thing!

if you need help fitting the compressor we can do that.. then, the rest is entirely up to you!

                    ;-)
