    CPS Question ABY Hall sensor

K so my wiring doesn't match what is in the FAQ. My ABY wiring harness was 99.5% complete, this being the only missing plug.

    here are my wires:

    I have:
    Red w/ Black stripe
    Brown w/Yellow Stripe
Green (cant recall if it has a stripe)

Now my assumption would be According to the CPS colors:

I was trying to 'match' colors. i went red to red, green to green, brown to black... Thoughts?

          Try this then!
Find which wire from the ecu has earth on it. Find which wire from the ecu has 5V on it with ign on. The other wire will be the signal back to the ecu!
Or just trace the wires back to the ecu pins to make sure! Just a process of elimination.
Another clue is that a brown wire is usually ground!

              It would be best!
Looking at it I would say the ground is the brown so pin 3. The green is the signal back that would be pin 2. So that leaves the red as the 5V in which is pin 1. I think that diagram has mistaken Green for Grey as its off the AAN perhaps.

I have just checked a schematic for a 94 ABY Avant and its as follows. It is not unknown for the tracer colour (the smaller stripe to change) over the years/models.
Pin 1 Red with black stripe
                Pin 2 Green
Pin 3 Brown with yellow stripe.
