*HELP* A6 2.5 TDi Failed Fuel pump!

    Hello All

My 2005 Allroad has decided to pack up on me.

I would be lying if i said I knew it wasnt coming, but it used to take ages to start first thing, sometimes 20-25 seconds on the starter irrelevant of how many times I put the glow plug light on and off. Changed Coolant sensor as it was cheap made no difference!

NOW- the car wont start, not for love nor money.

Reading about it, the ECU on the VP44 pump is a common failure, and mine looks to have failed.

    Part number 0281010889

rang a few people, they said they cant repair! (ATP, ECU technologies, blue streak)

Any suggestions/ Anyone know of someone who can repair?

    Thanks Biggs

I thought it was the ECU on the top that failed? Have you tried 'diesel bob' on line? Also have you checked the diesel pump belt for timing?

      Hi

It is the ecu I believe has failed ive removed the ecu pump still there as before

I can see marks on the casing where previously it has been tapped with a hammer or similar to get it going again

Coded to the immob so it's best to repair current ECU. I wish it was as simple as putting another one on!
