I'm using a girdle plate, and was wondering do people still use both gaskets?or just sealant between Girdle and engine sump. I don't know who uses a girdle plate on here but those that do share there experience as to what's best approach please thanks Michael
You can't use a "thick" gasket between the girdle and block, that would cause stress on the mains and popably bend the crank line when you torque down the main bolts. Really thin layer of some oil resistant sealant is the way to go.
