That p/n is the RS2 turbine housing I think.
So its going to be difficult to source as opposed to the common ones!
Hopefully somebody might have something usable.

that's what I thought its rs2 ,, but as owen developments are going to machine it[ as they did the old unit] to fit a GT2871R is there a housing which is the same overall size that I can use ,.

All I can add is that the RS2 K24 designation appears to relate to it 59mm turbine wheel rather than the 66mm of the K26 family. The ordinary K24 also has this size. Of course the smaller part of the turbine is larger on the RS2 and the exit where the downpipe attaches is @54.3mm. Whether the RS2 is a discrete casting or merely a bored out version of the K24 7000 is unknown. It may also differ in material! Without sectioning and testing them its difficult to give a definitive answer.
I was also told that that the K26 64mm would not fit in the RS2 turbine housing but it does. It may well be that the K24/26 housings, at least in the #6 range share a common casting with only the exit diameter changed to suit the particular turbine wheel config. Obviously some variants such as the later K26 with the @56mm exit are already too large so that would leave either the K24 7000 or perhaps the early K26 with the 50mm exit as possible donors for experimentation. Of the two the K24 would be the easier to source used and in good condition.
So in essence the turbine wheel and housing are paired so there is no alternative. I seem to remember that there were specific Garret housings with the KKK mounting pattern to get round this issue. Perhaps they were for the bigger frame turbos.
          Sorry I can't give a definitive answer.

many thanks for your help ,will at VRS has kindley sent a s2 k24 free of charge to owens so hopefully they will be able to use that ? but I don't want a compromise as the car runs motec and is mapped which I don't realy want to have to re-do

Yep, the standard s2 housing can be machined to mate a gt3071r. I've had it done. It's basically what turbo dynamics used to do to create their md357.

Wouldn't something like this be better rather than trying to source/machine KKK stuff:

I originaly purchased the atp housing in june ,so owens could build the turbo in first place with the GT2871R core, but owens told me to send it back as they thought it was not made and machined well. so I got my money back and purchased the hybred from nicksport [ on forum] owens then fitted /modded it

owen develpoements contacted me friday and suggested we try the atp exh housing [again ]as listed above , I pointed out that that's what I sent them first time round and that they rejected its quality , but we going to see what this one looks like and poss owens can mod it . has anyone onhere used one of the ATP housings,as listed ?
