  • Help with parts

Does anyone know where I can find
new factory main bolts for an AAN
engine? All I can find online are the
    ARP studs.

You didn't look very hard. Genuine Volkswagen Audi Parts (GVAP) in San Diego lists them for $1.99 each.

You do know about Ekaterina, right?

      http://audi.7zap.com/en/usa/audi+100.../103-103020/#3

Crank cap bolt torque (from page 27/93 of http://s2-audi.co.uk/workshop/aan/aan.pdf ) (Not stretch bolts so they could be reused)

I typed it into google many different ways
and the only thing that would come back is
arp main studs. Also on GAP when I would
click on engine it would only give me external
        engine parts. Nothing block related.

Ekaterina and learning where things are within her data base is the way forward.

Then take the PN to GVAP or ECS and you get what you need.

I only use Google to find photos of the part once I have the part number, not to find the part number.

Thanks for the help. So since they are not stretch
bolts do you still recommend reusing the ones in my
AAN now? For all I know they are the originals with
            over 290,000 miles on them.

The old ones are probably just fine but for $24 plus shipping (probably $10), for the required 12 bolts, I would go new. (IMO)

Paging Dave! I went on ekat for the part number
for new piston pin clips and it lists 2 different numbers
but the clips are all the same. I was hoping you or
someone else on here has some insight.

Normal M10x80 10.9 grade bolts from your bolt store is fine, no need to be OE if they are difficult to source.

Damn that's a pretty nice kit. I already bought
some bolts from GAP but now I'm having some
trouble with other parts. I'm looking for new piston
                        wrist pin cir-clips.

Ekat lists two seperate part #'s for the same product?

                        N 90558301 ?????? I bought x10 of these.
