Won't boost until at least 3000 rpm no matter what you do. I have a huge strong wastegate spring and good chip tuning and that is the boost point.

          Turbo starts working realy nice

          Hello Audiman.

Can you tell met what's the pro en contra of a K27 8" to an K24 7200 stock RS2 turbo.
Does this have more power in low RPM's or is it only interesting for high RPM
I have a also a strong wastegatefeder and software special made for the K27 but could also work on a RS2 turbo.

the RS2 turbo will peak at about 1.75-1.8 bar boost, after that it is finding it hard to make boost. But the turbo will spool up faster. the k26/27 will spool later, about 3200 rpm, but it wont run out of steam until about 2.5 bar!!!!

Low down power is not as good, but further up it is mental. Pulls like hell. If i hade to make a choice again, then i would use the RS2 turbo and keep to 1.8 bar boost. the big turbo just takes too long to spool up in my opinion.

              K27 = K26/27??

Still have some questions, Is the K27 with 8 er abgas the same as your K26/27.(i don't have enough nowlegs to say so)
A German who made my software has the same engine conf. as dicribed in my frist post.
Except he has mounted an K27 lader mit 8 er abgasgehause.
He made a copy of is own made ECU and tells me it work good on a stock K24 7200.
His power autput is 412 Hp bij 20 degrees celius.
I'dd like to know if someone has also the same conf. and tell me their expierinces.
At this moment i thick that a chiped s2 ABY has more power under the 3200 rpm than mine.

              Any help is welkom

I have not seen a K27. But it would be different to mine. It would have larger hot side. Dont now how that would work.

Your friends ECU will not work on your car properly. His turbo pushes a lot more air than a stock k24. so the fuelling would be way out.

                  Dilema

                  Advise wanted,

Wat to do? Chance the RS2 turbo or start the searche for te needed software on this setup.
Who can get me realy good software, with good response on low rpm.
Top speed is not important for me.
Wo makes de best software for this setup, or wo has good expierience with an K27 turbo.

Jaap the first advise I would give you is to forget about Tom Schmalz and his "off the shelf" or "mailorder" software, this is not a serious way of tuning cars. No one can "get" you software for that setup, real software can only be made in the car, not mail-ordered from TS ********, and copied from MTM and other people who work hard.

Then an RS2 chipset sure won't work optimally with a K26/27 or K27 and so on. A #8 hot side (abgas) on a K27 doesn't exist, only 7 (like the sport quattro), 11 and 13, and all of these don't work on an RS2 exhaust manifold. If you want good horsepower, take a look at this graph and get yourself an RS2 turbo as soon as possible

Not for too long!!! Its just too much. Maybe ok in short term, but for long term safety new rods are a must.

Ummm, so far the car has done 30.000 kms with big 6th gear accelerations from 1500-2000 RPM-on (the worst treatment for rods ever) and it has held very nicely. I have to admit that if I had been told before tuning the car that it would have 600 Nm, I'd have dropped boost down from 1.7 to 1.5 Bar just to be sure, but so far it's running okay and I know of a few RS2s running even more boost (not tuned by me) with no rods problems whatsoever....

                              No Ts

                              Hi,

The software is not from TS but from someone from Saarland.
He has actiualy a K27/8" turbo on his engine.
Also a man in Schweden does have this turbo.
If have already a RS2 turbo on my engine mounted and the other specs see first post.
ALso if have move the exhaust cam one touth to richt and that helps the turbo spooling a lot better.
But mihnea if you have better options, let me know.
