    Hammon and TS Tuning chips

    Looking for some advice guys.

Basically i've been busy buying bits and pieces over the last year for a turbo upgrade.

I have a Volvo 7400 and an RS2 hybrid to try.

I purchased an RS2 turbo which turned out to be a hybrid, i believe it's a Hoffer special with an RS2 cold side mated to a K26 variant hotside with a 56mm turbine exducer, possibly a 360 degree bearing too?

At the time of buying i didn't realise it was a hybrid so purchased Hammon RS2 chips which Rocco had previously owned. These chips are for a 3B setup and since they are for a standard RS2 turbo i'm not sure how they will perform with the hybrid.

However, i have also purchased TS tuning chips for an ABY ecu for when the time comes to upgrade the 3B ignition system.

My question is are these chips a copy of one and other or completely different maps?

I'm just trying to decide do i try the 3B setup first with the Hammon chips or just convert to coil packs/ ABY ecu and go with the TS tuning chips?

Also the TS Tuning chips i think are for standard ABY coil packs, where as i'll be upgrading to TFSI coil packs. Will this be an issue?

    Look forward to your replies.

    Cheers
    Gordon

You are really best getting your car mapped as these chips are suspect at the best of times and you are running different set ups

Due to my location there is no one even remotely close that can do the mapping. The joys of small island life!!

Both these set us have run in previous cars with no issues i believe, however, since i have a RS2 hybrid yes i agree they will probably not be 100% suitable. The hope is that a standard RS2 turbo becomes available in order to better suit these chips.
