Intercooler question

So i have sold my IC(got an offer i couldnt refuse),since i am going for more power i thought to put even bigger one
My plan was to get 600x300x76
On turbo side 3'' fit perfect,but on IM side,3'' is a bit to big.So i thought to put coupler on IM so it can fit .There shudnt be any restriction?
Is this to big for 500-600hp or i shud go 2.5'' core?

I've always understood that a 2.5 inch thick core was the biggest you could use behind a "Euro" bumper without extensive hacking of the bumper plastic. On that basis I recommend reading through this DIY:

I put 600x300x76 IC on my urs6, very tight fit. I moved radiator also closer to engine and removed ac.

Yeah i know the threat Dave,thats why i ask for 76mm,becose my bumper is choped already
Thank's for info Maiks,ive removed AC and moved the radiotor back to engine.So maybe it will fit how i imagine it
