    Evap circuit question

Whilst replacing the fuel pipe from tank to filter, I noticed that one of the steel pipes running to the tank has corroded and now has a whole in it, no doubt made worse by me having to open the clamp that holds them in place,

This pipe is not a fuel pipe or the return so I'm only left with the thought of it being part of the evaporate system,

Question is what effect if any would having a leak ( presume a vacuum leak ) have on the running of the car,

    Thanks Steve

N80 Evaporative Emissions Frequency Control Valve and Canister info

You can't have a random hole in any part of the fuel system and expect that there are no repercussions. You'll need to fix that. Otherwise the N80 Evaporative emissions system is literally sucking air. And instead of that air containing some burnable hydrocarbons, it is just air. Going to mess something up.

Air from the N80 is not entered by the MAF so in pure running terms, it'll make an imperceptible difference. Leaving fuel vapour under the car is sub optimal so best to fix it
